I have been searching for hig & low for a good place to get rendang that tastes almost like my mom's. Well, my search has finlly ended, i have found nu-in cafe that is very near to our house. The rendang that they serve was almost like my mom's that i almost shed in tears when i had the first bite.. Ooh, how i miss my mother's rendang, nasi tomato, chicken soup and pengat pisang.
Lately, i've been craving all sorts of things, mostly nowadays its my mom's food. I miss her, it's been over a month, we haven't got the chance to go back to ipoh yet.. that is why on this coming 13th, my hubby and i will be going back to ipoh and visit my mom and my brother.. Might take my brother to watch 2012 at Kinta City too. There's a lot of things to be done actually, like to get the marriage cert from the officials, and also to get the album.. I cant wait for the album.. on 15th, Mak long fuziah (hubby side), will have a kenduri doa selamat at her new house in titiwangsa.. Will start showing off all the album there. I heard rumours that her house might cost millions of ringgit, this ought to be good. I've never been to a house that costs more than 500k. Haha! Call me jakunor what, but i am..I am such a kampung girl, i would get awestruckjust being in a house that cost millions. ok, i know i am weird.
Anyway, back to the story.. These 3 yrs of staying here in KL and Selangor, I couldnt find anything that taste almost like home. Remember this entry, after that, my hubby, my MIL and i decided to have lunch outside of the house. So we were contemplating on where to go in Bangi to find a place where we've never tried before. We always pass by this cafe, even when we were preparing for our wedding, we passed by this cafe several times but never got the time to try the food. That day, all of us thot we should try.
The menu of this cafe itself is intriguing, it has all the names of the places in perak. my pick : Nasi Lemak Perak and Oreo Milkshake. My hubby's : Mee Rebus Taiping and Nu-in Special. My MIL's : Nasi Goreng Istimewa nu-in and Teh Tarik Ipoh. When the food arrive, i was anxious to try everything, i dug in.. and the food and the drinks are to perfection. For those Perak-ians who lives in Bangi, pls go to this little cafe, you may never regret. I just cant wait to go there again to try other foods on the menu.
The ambiance also wasn't that bad, comyfy chairs.. and got decoration of labu sayong in the restaurant.
Ohh, how i miss my mom.. Can't wait to see her this friday and saturday..
